christmas and jewlery but mainly Hosanna
Dec. 16th, 2006 | 11:35 am
Hosanna wanted to show off her cool necklace she got in the mail from Judith's mommy...
I know you can't handle this cuteness all in one sitting.

My own attempt at a pretty christmas picture to send to relatives (yes, I do things at the last possible minuet)

...thank you and enjoy your day.
ps. I still want xanga premium....ok continue on.

updating my life.
Nov. 6th, 2006 | 07:05 pm
Hosanna spent the weekend sick. 103 fever, puking her little face off, and sleeping lots...so I watched lots of movies. I think I just may go insane with movie watching. Ahhh but it was fun. And I have to admit, having a cuddly baby for once wasn't so bad on my part...no I'm not heartless, I felt horrible she was sick. But you 've got to make the most out of it! and having a baby that just wanted to be in my arms, made my heart happy...if she's going to be sick, that's where I want her to be.
She's feeling better today...and she's with daddy washing diapers...which equals mommy time to do whatever I want!!! woohoo!!!...crap, what do I do? I never have this time... I've mopped the kitchen of the coffee shop (as I'm manning it right now) I've swept the entire place...oh you thought having a coffee shop was all fun and hanging out? No. I get to now try to keep my own house clean (not happening) along with a coffee shop!...a labor of love I do admit.
and I am inventing a new drink...right now, even as we speak...and it's fun.
it's a carbonated Iced Tea....it needs different sweetner though. and maybe some lemon.
I'm surfing through new music online...that's always fun.
...I like Sarah Kelly's new stuff
....and John Felton and his soulmobile is good too.
...strike that...john felton, not that great...hannah brigman is good.
I'm not done sewing even one apron yet. Because I'm lazy...or I just have to be in the right mood for sewing....and I have not been. I've been knitting hosanna a little blanket. and it is so much fun.
I'm knitting her a blanket because she likes to use my boob as her lovey. and I don't lovey that. I don't mind her nursing, in fact I love that she still does...(which she has been a ton more lately, but she's teething...molars...you would want to nurse too) I am hoping that if I make this blanket, and associate it with Nigh nigh (hosannna's dubbed word for nursing) life may be a little easier on my own chest...at least that's the idea...we'll see how it goes.

survey?
Jun. 2nd, 2006 | 10:14 pm
Mommy Survey.
1. How many kids do you have? Just one!
2. What is their name(s)? Hosanna Yasha Eden B_______
3. How old are they? 9 months
4. How old were you when you had them? 20...and only 2 weeks away from being 21.
5. Do you want more kids? Yes, definitely....I think...most of the time
6. Do you plan on having more soon? umm shrug. I would like more kids, and I would like to Tandum nurse, but I am afraid of going insane with more then one...and I have that silly fear of betraying Hosanna by loving another child.
7. How many times have you:
*Been pooped on? Yesterday? One big old squishy poo (remember, she's sick)...all over me, my bed, my pillow, my comforter...
*Pee'd on? only when we were doing her 3 month old photos and she was naked...she got both her dadada and me!
*Barfed on: again, yesterday...I was puked on a TON...poor little sick thing.
are these things supposed to be gross? It's called mommyhood.
8. Whats your favorite thing about being a mom: besides everypart? *insert beautiful music and a large cheesy grin here* I love the mornings...when Hosanna wakes up smiling at talking to me, and we roll over back and forth, lazily breastfeeding...and then dadada wakes up and she plays with his beard...before giving him raspberries on his belly!
9.Whats your least favorite thing? When I know she's in pain and there's nothing I can do.<-- here here!
10. Were they named after anyone? nope...well sort of, Yasha is the feminite of Yeshua...which is Joshua in Hebrew (yes, also the name of Jesus) so in a round about way, she was named after her dadada, and Jesus?
11. How did you come up with their name? With Hosanna it just wasn't a question...before I knew she was a girl I wanted to name her Hosanna (which means save us now) then Yasha just fit in so nicely (see above, and it also means salvation) then Josh wanted another middle name...so we searched and searched for something that fit, and fell upon Eden, which means beautiful.
12. Are they a mommas baby or daddys baby? she is a mommy's baby for the most part...because I've got the boobs. I think though that she will become a daddy's girl as she gets older, she's got that personality.
13. Were they/are they breastfed or bottle fed? BREAST! We all know that was a war, as she didn't gain weight and all that terrible jazz. So she is also a goat milk baby. which she does also dearly love.
14. How long were you in labor? 40 hours of labor, 3 1/2 of pushing....phewwwwww
15. What were their stats? August 22, 2005 7lbs 6oz, 20 inches long!
15. What hospital did you have them at? Dickinson Memorial...no more hospitals for me anymore though please!
16. Did you "tear" or need stitches? no! hooray! my dr. was wonderfull and helped to "stretch" me...gross you think? well I appreciated it later when I was able to sit down!
17. How many nights did you have to stay? Just one night at Dickinson, then we drove as fast as we could to Marquette, to see Hosanna who had been shipped up to the NICU because of pnemonia...there we stayed 10 more days.
18. Does dad change diapers? if I ask...or if he is in the mood for lovin'!
19. Whats the longest you left them? just a few times...people say I'm bad about it...I say, I love my baby
20.Did you find out the sex while you were pregnant? yep!

I actually forget that his beard is that long...
then every now and again I take a look at him from a different angle, and am totally taken aback at how increadibly long his face is!
eh, I love that thing.
Also, I need to teach Hosanna more baby signs besides "all done" she now uses it as a catch all sign for pretty much everything...all done, I want a drinnk, all done I want up, all done I want to sleep....as wonderfully cute it is, I would like her to have a larger signing vocabulary
...but drat, it's difficult! We've been working on "eat" and "please" and she thinks it's a joke. ha ha, any ideas?

On this day...
May. 28th, 2006 | 11:36 pm
Bethany graduated from high school. I'm quite happy for her...what a good day...man this year is my 5 year reunion..yikes.
To really celebrate right, we all headed to the beach. Hosanna's first time at the beach.
I'm quite determinded to make her the fish I was when I was a child. I always loved the lake. She was quite uncertain of the water, mainly because it was still very cold.
But the sand...oh the sand! that tasted spectacular. We couldn't keep it out of her little mouth! So so funny indeed.

We have a small flower bed by our house. Since my sisters graduation is coming up this weekend, I thought I would go ahead and make it pretty.
But my friend, Jesus decided to do it for me.
These lovely things popped out all on their own...and they weren't there last year.

Aside from those, I've added lots of fun little flowers in, and am working on making some good earth for some "shrubbery"
I like it outside.
AND Hosanna had her check up yesterday...a whole 16 lbs 12 oz! woohoo! 27 inches long.
All the nurses were quite impressed with how vocal she is...I smiled and pointed to her dadada. Yay for my little one. I'm so proud of her and her growing But my friend, Jesus decided to do it for me.

Who needs time?
May. 19th, 2006 | 10:00 pm
In an attempt to keep better contact with others, here I find myself, in a new place. Xanga, myspace, livejournal. Ah, what's next?
I could attempt the typical this is who I am and this is what I like post. But what use is that? I know you all already anyway.
I admit, I do like all the photo options...that is neat.

Actually Emilee, this is all your fault. If I get addicted now, you are the one to blame...I will hunt you, I will fight you.
